SH-C30G Isolated USB to CAN Adapter

Galvanic Isolation, Self-Powered: Isolator breaks USB-CAN path. Onboard DC-DC supplies isolated 5V & GND—no external supply. No ground loops; bus faults stay contained. Pin 3 is isolated GND—do not connect to PC GND. Open Hardware, Published: SH-C30G from CANable—we publish back. Schematic & PCB on GitHub (dsdtech-official) as editable files under CERN-OHL-S-2.0, plus firmware. Inspect, modify, build your own. Open Protocols: Ships with candleLight (gs_usb)—Linux kernel driver built-in, appears as SocketCAN, nothing to install. Works with cangaroo, can-utils, python-can. Supports CAN 2.0A/B up to 1Mbit/s. Built for Real Bus: 4-pin 5.0mm terminal—CAN_L, CAN_H, isolated GND, isolated +5V (powers small node). Built-in 120Ω termination (disable if bus has two). Each line has fuse & TVS clamp. New Firmware, Free: Stock ignores 24MHz crystal. Our build uses it and lights TX/RX LEDs. Sep 2026 units ship with it; earlier update over USB—free & optional.
